Karen MacDonald DDS

A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Karen grew up in Antigonish before moving to New Glasgow in High School. Karen won many academic awards at New Glasgow High School, studied a single year in the Science program at Dalhousie before transferring to the Dalhousie’s Pharmacy program. Karen continued her academic excellence and was awarded several academic awards when she was awarded her BSc. in Pharmacy in 1985.

Karen worked for one year as a full time pharmacist in Halifax and then 4 years on a part time basis as she supported herself through dental school also at Dalhousie.

Karen graduated from the Dalhousie University School of Dentistry and immediately moved to Ottawa where she has practiced since May 1990.
Karen has a family orientated general dental practice and is always welcoming new patients as she shares the excitement of the modern facilities at Preston Dental Centre.

Karen is married, has a daughter and enjoys time with her family and friends in Ottawa and Fort Myers, on the ski hill and practicing her considerable culinary skills.

Line Fournier DDS

Line grew up in Edmundston, New Brunswick. She completed her undergraduate studies at l’Universite de Moncton , where she earned her Bachelors degree in sciences with a minor in psychology and a major in biology. After completing her bachelor’s degree, Line pursued her studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2001.

Since completing her studies Line has worked as a dentist in the Yukon Territory, North West Territories, and Ontario. She has also volunteered at St. Jude’s Hospital in St. Lucia. While practicing in the north she traveled to many remote communities where she appreciated the experience of practicing comprehensive dentistry in areas that were not regularly serviced by dentists and dental specialists. She also obtained hospital privileges at the Whitehorse General Hospital where she provided comprehensive treatments mostly for pediatric patients.

Line has been established in the Ottawa region since 2005. Her growing practice is one of cosmetic and comprehensive dentistry. When she is not working, you can find her skiing down the slopes, kayaking on nearby lakes or exploring a new part of the world.

Line will be happy to serve her patients in either English or Français.
